The OCG is proud to be supporting the Mittagundi Outdoor Centre, a refuge for young people (aged 14 - 17) from a variety of backgrounds which provides them with opportunities and activities designed to foster self-reliance, self-esteem, independence and the capacity to fit in and contribute to a community.
For one night only the OCG will be presenting The Northern Folk, a collective of eleven musical ambitionists who guarantee to spread their unique brand of folk/pop/stomp/rock into every nook and cranny of the OCG.
With a night filled with everything from atmospheric ballads to big band boot stompers, harkening to the style of The Cat Empire, Saskwatch and Of Monsters and Men, the Northern Folk's music proves flexible to the occasion, and with the help of some addictive percussion, the big music becomes bigger as the night progresses.
In 2015 and 2016 The Northern Folk dived into the sea of Victorian regional music festivals, including Bendigo Blues and Roots, Healesville Music Festival, Swagger (Wandiligong), Happy Wanderer (Benalla), , Panacea (Tatong), Cool Summer (Mt Hotham), Yack Folk (Yackandandah), Mt Beauty Festival, Pfeiffer Pfest (Rutherglen), and Uranquinty Folk Festival.
This is a liscenced event and proof of age will need to be provided before alcohol is served.
Tickets for Under 18's are only $10 and available at the door.
